Why did I write this book? If it were to tell you, the reader, all the wonderful things I think I did in my life, I could have put it all on a postage stamp.
But I have decided to tell you about my wonderful family and all the people I have met who have made my life worth the trip. I hope you will enjoy reading about all these amazing people who filled my life for over 80 years.
Had great parents and relatives who filled in when my mother died. My wonderful wife Sally and my beautiful children are included in most of my stories. And there were many people who came into my life and filled it up with some joy, even if they did not mean to do so.
I wish I could do it again.
If you understand and enjoy all that I have written, then it is a result of the editing that my friend and editor, Ralph Wimbish, has contributed to every word and line. He has also spent a lot of effort checking on dates and names that I have only a casual memory of. Thank you, Ralph.
